The THSLL Division I will see a major change to the Division I State Championship for 2010. In previous years, the Central, North and South District Champions in addition to a wild card played in a two round event to crown the State Champion. For 2010, a twelve team format will be implemented. On May 1&2, the South District (Houston) and Central District (San Antonio and Austin) will be hosting super regional playoffs.
The two winners on Sunday's game will advance to the State Championship the following weekend in Dallas to play the two winners from the Central Super Regional
For 2011, the Super Regional games will rotate to North and Central with the State Championship tournament to be played in Houston.
