US Lacrosse has announced a grant program to provide AEDs to quailfied programs.
Application Timeline for the Grant Program
September 28, 2009 – Grant applications available
November 30, 2009 – Postmark deadline for completed applications.
December 2009 – Notification letters sent to all applicants.
March 15, 2010 - All AED training workshops must be conducted.

THSLL State Championship rescheduled |

THSLL Member Teams
The THSLL
board met this evening to discuss playoff schedule options. After
considering all obstacles and challenges in adjusting the schedule
with the current delay, the Board of Directors made the decision
to hold District Playoffs between May 11-14 and hold the State
Championships on May 15, 16 and 17th. The Championships will be
held in Austin at House Park field.
The

THSLL Suspends Season Play
The
Texas High School Lacrosse League supports the UIL policy stated below and
hereby postpones all THSLL contests until May 11th. At that time, it will
have a plan for the THSLL State Championships.
We encourage all Member
Schools to communicate directly with school administrations and school
districts with any questions related to other scheduled sports-related, non-THSLL
events such as practices and scrimmages.

“UIL Schedules
Altered Due to Swine Flu
On the recommendation
of Dr. David Lakey, Commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health
Services, and in consultation with Texas Education Agency Commissioner Robert
Scott, the University Interscholastic League is altering its schedule of events
due to the outbreak of the swine flu in Texas. Effective immediately, all UIL
interscholastic competition is suspended until May 11.”
